PATRICK GREEN

CO FOUNDER

Patrick Green is a husband, father, and filmmaker who tells inspiring and thought-provoking stories from the inside-out. Born in Orange County to a Vietnamese immigrant and an Italian-Irish New Yorker, Green grew up as an “other,” but learned to value his unique perspective as a cultural chameleon, who could be both on the inside and outside.

As a lifelong storyteller, Green established himself first as a journalist and author before transitioning into writing and directing projects for Tony Scott, Jiro Dreams of Sushi producing team, Ebony, Snapchat, NBPA, Falkon, Jib Jab, RING TV, and the ID Agency

Over the past four-plus years he’s been working on his first feature film, Sincerely, Los Angeles, a colorful and heartfelt love letter from the City of Angels to Kobe Bryant. Told through the city’s most inspiring artists and beloved cultural icons, Sincerely, Los Angeles is the story of how these larger-than-life memorials turned into a global movement, proving that Kobe and Gianna’s legacy will forever live in our hearts and cities’ walls.

Patrick is currently filming Blue Heaven, a docuseries about the past, present, and future of Chavez Ravine with actor Xolo Mariduena (Blue Beetle, Cobra Kai) and director Estevan Oriol (LA Originals).

His passion for stories that reflect the human experience through film, sports, art, and social change can be seen in his award-winning short docs which include the first-ever film on legendary Muhammad Ali trainer Bundini Brown and For Your Consideration, a gritty street art expose about a provocative Oscars statue that goes viral and incites further conversation during the #MeToo movement.

Green has a Masters in Film/TV Screenwriting from Cal State Northridge and a BA in Journalism/English from San Diego State. In addition, he has been published in over 50 digital and print publications (LA Magazine, E! Online, Character Media, OC Register, XXL, MEL Magazine, LA Taco), has authored two travel books, and has been an on-camera talent who has interviewed the likes of: Mike Tyson, Trae Young, Marc Gasol, Jamiroquai, Lucy Dacus, and more.

JAMES ARMSTRONG

As the co-founder of Someone Great Pictures, he not only oversees production, but is an on-set and post-production Swiss army knife, who shoots, runs sound, and edits. His work on the upcoming "Sincerely, Los Angeles" can be seen in every aspect of filmmaking from pre-to-post production. This DIY spirit comes from his childhood in Ocean City, Maryland, where his love of skateboarding and music cemented a deep interest in film, producing scrappy skate videos and short films using two VCR’s and a camcorder. In addition to producing branded and editorial online video content as Head of Video at Evolve Media, James has worked in various capacities in the production space over the last 10 years. James studied Social and Behavioral Science at Santa Monica College and Film at Cal State Long Beach and continues his passion to explore stories that highlight the complexity of the human condition.
